OWO - Drawing Room is located in the Grade II* listed Raffles London at The OWO, the former Old War Office in Whitehall. Overlooking Horse Guards Parade, the experience features a themed Secrets and Spies menu paying tribute to real-life female agents. Unique menu items include a sharing chocolate cake modeled after a GSTP spy pocket watch. Tea selections include the signature Drawing Room Blend with rose petals and the smoky Churchill Blend, served alongside live grand piano music.
Incredibly enjoyable afternoon tea. The drawing with live pianist is a perfect place to spend an afternoon with a friend. Large tea selection, we tried 4-5 total all being nice. Food was high end standard, could have used a little more uniqueness but still good. Sweets were the highlight, especially the ‘birds nest’.
Only drawbacks were the servers knew very little about the tea selection (eg didn’t know which was darkest), and sandwiches being relatively basic. Still a great option.
