My wife and I had afternoon tea at the Ritz as part of her 50th birthday celebrations and we were not disappointed.
First up- look up the dress code! I didn’t have a shirt and jacket but the staff were prepped for this and provided me with the necessaries.
Guess I’m not the first and won’t be the last 😂 Tea experience itself was brilliant ! The staff were knowledgeable, professional and very attentive without being intrusive. Sandwiches, cakes and tea were excellent and served using top quality crockery. Excellent and tasty platter as a vegetarian. There was an excellent pianist playing in the background. The atmosphere was brilliant and the surroundings luxurious. We even stayed after tea for a beer because we enjoyed the experience so much.
The best thing about the experience was staff and attention to detail. For example, the wife had ran out of charge on her phone, staff noticed this and immediately sorted out a recharge for he. I know that afternoon tea at the Ritz is a one off experience but yes, we would do it again when the next big birthday comes around.
