Grand setting and slightly dated furnishings, it seems like they cater to an older crowd with the classical music, it feels a little sleepy for someone younger.
Service was attentive and friendly. First course was much more unique than 'typical' sandwiches, the beef flatbread was especially tasty and everything were interesting.
Scones extremely light and doughy, really nice whipped vegan clotted cream. Tiered cake was my favorite cake, really tasty. Extra points for the large tea pots.
Great value for £50, lots of positives, not ‘incredible’ food and treats, but certainly good. Worth a day outside of London to walk the grounds and having a nice afternoon tea.
